Wii Autoboot Creator 1.0

Met het tooltje Wii Autoboot Creator 1.0 van Landesoft kun je Wii iso's patchen zodat ze automatisch starten, je hoeft dan niet meer het menu in om je spel te starten. Je kunt een iso die is gepatched ook weer terugzetten zodat je wel weer het menu nodig hebt. Het enige wat je hoeft te doen is de iso inladen die je wilt patchen, kiezen wat je wilt (automatic voor automatisch starten of  manual voor starten via het  menu) en  op de 'Convert' knop drukken.

BatchDPG 1.44 Unofficial voor video op de DS

BatchDPG 1.44 Unofficial gemaakt door I_Am_Ghost. Deze versie ie gebasseerd op BatchDPG 1.3 beta 5 en ondersteunt slepen in het venster (drag&drop), een verbeterde interface en meertaligheid met een .ini bestand.

Met BatchDPG kun je elk videobestand wat je pc kan afspelen omzetten naar een .dpg video bestand wat je kunt afspelen in de Moonshell mediaspeler.

Code draaien op Wii door exploit in Zelda savegame

Bushing en Segher, leden van de site tehskeen, laten weten een exploit gevonden te hebben voor de Wii. Het is daarmee het mogelijk is eigen code te draaien zonder een gemodde Wii te hebben. De verwachting is dat er snel een homebrew loader komt die gebruik maakt van deze expoit.

Yes, that’s right - an exploit for the Nintendo Wii has been discovered and it allows you to run custom code. The method is pretty simple. Copy over a save file for Zelda, load it and the code runs. Don’t get too excited yet. They have only been able to run 4 lines of code, but this is in a days work.

Segher was the one to find the exploit and Bushing has been testing it out with the aid of the USB Gecko. The process is far from simple as once you modify a save game it requires it be to signed with 3 keys. Here’s some info from Bushing.
Once the Wii decrypts the save game, it checks its signature. Every Wii has its own private key which is used to sign save games, and when you save a game, the Wii actually saves three bits of data:

• The encrypted save game
• The signature for the save game (using your console's private key)
• A copy of your console’s public key, signed by Nintendo.

Assuming we don’t run into a wall, it should be able to lead to a homebrew loader. I hope. No promises.

DragonMinded heeft de 'Final' versie van de popuaire organizer tool DSOrganize uitgebracht met een berg fixes en wijzigingen. Hij geeft wel aan dat hij eigenlijk verder had willen zijn in deze versie dan hij daadwerkelijk is, vandaar dat de aanhalingstekens in deze versie gebruikt worden, hij zegt erbij dat het hierbij zal blijven.

EDGE, de nieuwe Cyclo DS Evolution kloon?

Het lijkt er op dat een nieuwe kaart genaamd 'EDGE' een kloon is van de bekende kaart Cyclo DS Evolution. Zowel de features, menu software en dldi bestand lijken identiek te zijn behalve eventueel een logo. Het grote voordeel zou zijn dat de EDGE goedkoper zou worden hoewel er nog geen winkels gesignaleerd zijn die de kaart al verkopen.

OpenTTD DS alpha 4 - Transport Tycoon op de DS

Een paar dagen nadat alpha 3 is uitgebracht komt versie alpha 4 alweer uit voor de port van het populaire Transport Tycoon.

Veranderingen:

• based on r11899
• added a start icon and description
• the random seed works
• loading original TTD saves disabled (256x256 too big for DS)
• press A anytime (even after crashes) to toggle the console
• Fix: trains can load and unload now
• Fix: road depot window (and similar) doesn't crash any more
• Fix: YAPF is completely disabled now. If the player enables it or it is enabled in a savegame, an error message is displayed and it is turned off
• Fix: saving games with bigger maps is now possible. Due to this savegames have to be uncompressed. Still 256x128 maps is the biggest possible due to memory limitations.
• Reduced viewport memory. crashes due to not enough memory available shouldn't happen so often any more.
• The game bow the start menu at the beginning
• Added a 128x64 version of the title screen savegame
• Added a key combination for the cheat menu
• Some bugs not mentioned should be fixed due to general improvements

Bekende problemen:

• graphical glitches (mostly during scrolling) because the nds blitter needs to be rewritten
• minimap glitches
• trying to create mäps bigger than 256x128 crashes
• the screen resolution is too small making it impossible to click some windows
• ships make the game crash (unconfirmed)

Origineel wordt dit spel verspreid in .tar.gz formaat wat velen niet zullen herkennen. nBrew heeft dit even opnieuw ingepakt als .zip voor jullie gemak.
